Wales have suffered an injury scare just weeks after Rhys Patchell was driven off through the Test match against Ireland.
After colliding with CJ Stander the 26-year-old fly-half left the pitch at the Aviva Stadium for a assessment during the first half.
He was replaced by Dan Biggar and did not come back to the match.
Patchell has suffered an injury-hit campaign and has been producing his first Test start in.
The Scarlets player secured his place in Wales’ 31-man World Cup squad to Ireland in Cardiff.
Warren Gatland is already without Gareth Anscombe, who sustained a knee injury throughout Wales’ World Cup warm-up match against England last month and will miss the tournament in Japan.
Wales start their World Cup campaign against Georgia on September 23.
