Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he’s remaining”very favorable” despite seeing his side lose at West Ham.
The 2-0 defeat London Stadium leaves the Red Devils with just eight points from their opening six matches.
Solskjaer’s side have won just two of their past 11 Premier League matches and so are without an away league win since February.
“I have stated many times that there’ll be highs and lows,” said the Norwegian.
“Now we just need to accept we got no issues. I’m disappointed we didn’t win today, but aside from that I am being really positive.”
Goals from Aaron Cresswell and Andriy Yarmolenko made the Hammers three points on Sunday, with Juan Mata and Harry Maguire spurning opportunities.
“We simply didn’t possess the caliber if we had those big minutes,” additional Solskjaer.
“At the Premier League if you don’t accept them you won’t receive any points. It tipped in their favor and we just have to accept that.”
The gloomy day of manchester United was compounded by an injury to Marcus Rashford, who will experience a scan after being forced off with a problem in the next half.
The joins an injury list that includes Eric Bailly, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw and Paul Pogba.
“We’ll just have to scan it and see just how badly hurt he is,” said Solskjaer, who was also without teenager Mason Greenwood at London Stadium because of tonsillitis.
“[Greenwood] could not traveling, but I guess him and Anthony [Martial] aren’t too far off.”
The injury to Rashford leaves United brief of numbers in attack, after substituting the 21-year-old in West 29, together with Jesse Lingard forced to play a fundamental striker.
The Red Devils allow Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez leave throughout the summer for Inter Milan, and former club captain Gary Neville has urged the club.
“You will find not any centre-forwards,” Neville told Sky Sports. “Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is going to need aid in January and next summer. This squad requires beefing up with caliber and experience and amounts.
“I have no problem with them letting players who didn’t want to be in the club go. Sanchez was with a nightmare, so Lukaku, to be fair, didn’t look as if he wanted to be there.
“They have not obviously been in a position to bring in the players they desired. I’m not saying they should have panic.
“But on reflection, it is a statement of truth that these will be the gamers Manchester United have got left to the pitch when they’re attempting to win a Premier League game.”
Fellow Sky pundit and former skipper Roy Keane stated he is”shocked and saddened” by the circumstance at Old Trafford.
“I don’t know where to begin,” the Irishman said. “I knew they were not in a excellent location. It is possible to get rid of a game of soccer but everything about United was lacklustre.
“No quality. Too little desire. A deficiency of leaders. A lack of characters. It is a long way back and it is scary how far they’ve fallen.”
Former United manager Jose Mourinho, that had been replaced by Solskjaer in December, told Sky Sports that he”doesn’t see any developments” despite the summer acquisitions of Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James.
“We were poor last season but I do not find any developments, even with three players.
“I enjoy these three players and they’re bringing some great quality, however the staff I don’t like at all. I am not surprised by the outcome and I don’t believe Ole can take any positives from the game.”
